Some new math show that time travel, if possible, shouldn’t create a paradox. The time stream will adjust to ensure that what happens, happens. Or as Doctor Who would say, “Fixed point in time. Can’t be changed. So sorry.”

read years ago that time travel was theoretically possible if the one traveling had been invited to arrive at the time they wanted to visit...
you also have to remember that the earth is not static and constantly moving as is the entire universe and galaxy by a considerable margin...a slight miscalculation and you might arrive at where the earth might have been previously but no longer present...and you'd have to contend with the awkward temporal embarrassment of floating about in space with no means of returning to your home time...oops
